The Trillium Tent is a 10×10 alaknak-style tent on a wood platform with windows. nestled on 10 acres of wooded property. It comes supplied with a queen cot with air mattress, a table and two folding chairs, and an optional toddler cot. The tent sleeps 2 adults who sleep together and has room for a toddler cot or sleeping bag. Additional guests (up to 6 total) may camp in their own tent(s) near the main tent.

You bring full/queen bed sheets, pillows and blankets or sleeping bags, towels, cooking utensils, cooler with ice, water for drinking and handwashing, solar chargers and/or battery packs, Wifi hotspot if you would like (we get great Verizon service on property). If you bring firewood, please buy it within 30 miles. We recommend applying permethrin to all bedding and clothing for tick prevention. We supply garbage bags, but you need to pack out garbage.
Please note- The campsite is open to the elements. If you arrive after a big rain, some items might be wet. We recommend bringing towels in the event that it either has rained or rains during your stay. Watch the forecast and ensure that items are put under cover if chances of rain.
You will park off road on dirt. Four-wheel drive is not required, however cars that sit lower than average are not recommended. There is space for 2-3 cars.
Up to two friendly pets with no history of aggressive episodes are welcome, however may not be left at campsite unattended. Limit is 2 dogs, unless otherwise approved by us. Other dogs may be on property. We are in the woods- there are ticks, porcupines, fox, bear and coyotes in the area. Tethers, bright bandanas and collars with identification are highly recommended.
We are located off a dirt road that seldom sees traffic. Nearby attractions we enjoy are: Platte River (get water, bathe, fish) (2-3 min @ Burnt Mill Rd and 5-10 min to kayak drop-off) Esch Beach (15-20 min) Riverside Canoe Trips (15 min) Cherry Bowl Drive-In Theater (5-10 min) Lake Ann (10 min) Traverse City (25 min) Beulah (20 min) Interlochen (15 min) Empire (15-20 min)
Additional camping spaces are available for a larger party who is willing to bring their own tents. Please inquire when booking.
